About TUgether

TUgether is Trinity’s crowdfunding initiative. This initiative is designed to help connect our alumni and donors more directly to student, faculty and staff projects and goals. Through TUgether, donors are able to interact with and directly support everything from student service projects and competitions, student and faculty research projects, student life and involvement and much more. By combining focused donations, TUgether allows, alumni, family, and friends of the University to maintain and grow the unique Trinity experience.

What goes into a successful TUgether Project?

The success of a project depends on the planning, involvement and effort of each group. Successful projects are lead by groups of faculty and students willing to actively reach out to, and engage with, their peers and relations inside and outside of the Trinity community. Projects typically run for 30 days with goals ranging from a few hundred dollars up to $10,000. Each project goal will be considered individually based on best practices, the strength of each group's size, network, and partnerships. 

Where does the money given on this page go?

All of the money goes straight to the project you donate to, and every gift makes an impact.

Who can apply to start a project?

TUgether is open to all students, faculty and staff at Trinity who are raising money for University-based and affiliated initiatives and projects. TUgether cannot support projects designer with for profit intentions or independent charity ventures.

How are projects selected?

Projects are selected by a TUgether committee comprised of Alumni Relations and Development staff. Once a project is submitted, this committee may follow up with additional questions about a project or application. Applications are considered and approved based on project essentials such as team commitment, project appeal and goal achievement potential. The Annual Giving team will provide comprehensive training for selected projects and ongoing consultation to all participants throughout the campaign.

What are the tax benefits of making a gift to Trinity?

All gifts to Trinity are tax deductible in the United States. There may also be benefits for residents of other countries. Bequests and life income gifts may offer significant savings. See Ways to Give for more information.

 

Will my company match my gift?

To find out if your company offers a gift-matching program, consult the online database of matching gift companies. You can also ask your human resources department about your company's policy.

 

Can I donate in honor of a family member or friend?

Endowments and scholarships are often named in honor of a family member or friend. Also, naming opportunities for classrooms, gathering spaces, laboratories and buildings are available for donors who wish to honor or memorialize their loved ones in this manner.

 

Can I give an anonymous gift?

Yes, donors often choose to remain anonymous. The University always respects a donor's stated wish for privacy.
